Memory Maps, Taste+, Eatwell and ThermoRing are the names of 4 of the 7 concepts announced as finalists in the Stanford Center on Longevity Design Challenge. The competition asked contestants to submit designs that would aid cognitively impaired individuals and their caregivers.
Each of the 7 winners has been awarded $1,000 and paired with a mentor who will help them refine their concepts. In April, the finalists will compete in a live event where they'll present their ideas to a panel of judges, investors and industry experts. The top three winners will be awarded a total of $17,000 in additional prize money.
