Launched: The GENIUS NY Challenge
The world’s largest business accelerator competition for robotics startups, loT, big data, and uncrewed systems, GENIUS NY has launched once again! It’s produced by the Tech Garden, funded by the Empire State Development, and part of CenterState CEO’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship portfolio.
Five winners are selected for the GENIUS NY accelerator each year. Winners receive a large investment; one grand prize winner receives $1M, followed by four $500K investments to the remaining teams. Winners also receive funding in the form of a monthly stipend in Phase 1, free office space and amenities, workshops and events, business training, a dedicated group of executive advisors, industry mentors, and recruiting, marketing, and fundraising support.
To date, GENIUS NY has invested more than $15 million in 26 startups, helped companies create more than 60 Upstate NY jobs, and assisted companies in securing more than $90M in follow-on funding.
